Proofreading and Editing
Quotes and Estimates
Quotes are free and given without obligation. I can quote by the word, the page, or the project. Most clients prefer a fixed amount quote.
Please send a sample of your work—generally at least two pages—and advise the size of your project (total number of words). After we have discussed the level of service you require, I will provide you with an estimate. An estimate is an indication only of the time and cost I think it will be. If you send your complete document, I can provide you with a fixed quote. Contact me here.
Website Proofreading and Editing
Before your website goes live, I can proofread your content to ensure it is error-free. Please send your work as a pdf or Word document to enable me to use ‘track changes’ and make electronic comments. If hard copy is sent, proofreading and copy editing will be done by hand using traditional proofreader’s marks and comments.
For existing websites I can review live copy and send you corrections and suggestions in a Word document.
Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the quality of the writing and the level of service required.
Payment of a deposit or progress payments may be requested based on the size of the job.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Quotes and Estimates
Quotes are free and given without obligation. I generally offer an hourly rate which depends on the nature of the work required. In some circumstances, a project rate can be provided if preferred.
Please contact me for further information.
Terms of Trade
Terms of payment are strictly seven (7) days. Please note that I am not GST registered.
You can rest assured that your document is in safe hands and will not be shared with anyone without consent. I am happy to sign a confidentiality agreement if requested.
I am committed to providing you with quality and reliability that you can count on. If you are unhappy for any reason, I will work with you to make it right, or I will refund your money in full.
Any obvious inaccuracies and inconsistencies in a document will be queried by Jyila as part of the copy editing process, however accuracy of facts, including dates, times, figures, etc., are ultimately the responsibility of the client. The client has the right to accept or reject any changes or suggestions for changes offered by Jyila, and also has the final responsibility for the accuracy of any fully proofread and edited copy.
